Check Your Credit – Your credit is crucial when applying for a loan; the better your score, the lower your interest rate will be. * The lender you choose will run your credit during the approval process.
Find a Lender – Get pre-approved (not pre-qualified) with a lender first. You will know exactly how much home you can afford and what to expect your payments to be in addition to putting you in a much better negotiating position when you do make an offer. Sellers want to know that you can actually buy their house before they take it off the market. I have a short list of great lenders who can help you with this.
Determine Your Price Range – Calculate what your are comfortable with before considering different areas to live to make sure your payment stays within your budget. Once you know your price range, I can help you make the most of your money.
Make sure you have considered all the factors when choosing an area: What is your commute to work going to be like? If you have kids, what are the schools like in the area? Does the house provide room for your family to grow? What style of home do you prefer? What amenities are important to you and your family? How long do you plan to be in the home and how much are homes in the area appreciating in price? All these things are important factors to consider during your home search. I’m dedicated to helping you through the entire process and once we find that perfect home, I will prepare the offer and negotiate to get you the best possible price and terms.
Once the offer is accepted, that’s just the tip of the iceberg! – Then there are inspections, survey, appraisal, and coordination between the lender and the title company and all the tasks required to achieve a successful real estate transaction. I do everything possible to make this process a smooth one and help you coordinate all the details required for closing.
Moving Time! – Now that you’ve found the perfect home, it’s time to make moving arrangements. I can refer professional movers, provide utility company contact information and provide you with a useful moving date checklist.
